Whether you join us in our pub, in our dining rooms or on our open-air patio, the Tam O’Shanter is a warm and welcoming outpost that dates back to 1922. Times may have changed but they haven’t changed the good times we have with our mates.

World-Class Libations

In 1938, after the repeal of prohibition, we added the Bobby Burns Dining and Cocktail Room.

Salt being sprinkled on a grilled cut of meat.

Seasonal Cocktails

Fresh-squeezed juices and premium spirits made to order. Try a Maple Old Fashioned, a Lavender Collins or Mr. McTavish’s favorite, Tam’s Punch.

Proper Pints

Rotating locals and select suds from around the world. Try a flight of four, and join us in the pub weekdays from 4–7 for
$2 off pints.

Plate of 1/2 dozen oysters.

Modern Classics

From our one-gallon Moscow Mule (serves 4–6) to our famous Tam’s Tea Service, our take on the Pimm’s Cup or the Dublin Donkey, you’ll be inspired “’til you lisp an’ wink”

A Menu for Feasting

Dinner Nightly, Lunch Daily, Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays — Live Music Fridays and Saturdays

Pub & Patio Faer

Our famous prime rib sandwich leads the lot along with a crispy chicken sandwich, the Tam burger, plus odds, sods and sides. See our carver for daily hand-carved sandwiches!

Meat, Fish, Fowl

Lawry’s classic prime rib dinner plus delights like roasted Jidori chicken and polenta and summer squash, with sides to share like roasted wild mushrooms, mac & cheese, and grilled asparagus.

From Across the Pond

Fancy something authentic? Our fish and chips, toad in the hole, Scotch rarebit, and corned beef and cabbage have been known to make Mr. McTavish shout, “Weel done, cutty-sark!”

The Wall of Scotch at the Tam O'Shanter

Enjoy good cheer, warm hospitality and exceptional food in a cozy old-world atmosphere. We’re proud to be in our 10th decade of continuous service. We originally considered it a quiet pastoral road stop, since Los Feliz Boulevard was just an unpaved country lane traversed by rabbits and rabbit hunters, in that order.

That’s when Walt Disney and his animators, set designers and crews would trek out between takes for a bite and a refreshment. So often in fact, the Tam was once dubbed “the studio commissary.” Join us and see why the Tam is said to have been Walt’s favorite restaurant, and maybe you’ll get seated at his favorite table (number 31, if anyone’s asking.)

“I love this place!
Amazing food, cosy environment, helpful staff!
I’m a Brit and it feels truly home from home.”

—Donna, Yelp

Today, we feature classic Scottish dishes alongside modern classics and, of course, Lawry’s famous prime rib dinner. With tartans of various Scottish clans lining our walls, a pub, a patio, many fireplaces and rooms that likely inspired Snow White’s cottage, the Tam O’Shanter is sure to delight one and all.

“Guid Health!”

—Mr. McTavish
